Birdwatchers love to see birds in their natural habitats and elements. But, what happens when we can't get out into nature to do this? What better way than to watch our favorite birds via webcam!
Hummingbirds
One of my favorites are the graceful, fast, and small hummingbird. Check out these awesome hummingbird live cams on our BirdInformer.com website. Here, you will find some of the best live cams to watch these amazing birds.
Hummingbirds not your thing? No worries, we have other webcams on our site. Be sure to check them all out! I added a decent hummingbird cam on this page, but to get the best one, click the link above - you won't be disappointed! :) |

Owls
Another one of my favorites are owls. These guys are a little harder to observe in nature although we have been able to track down some amazing owl cams for you to check out. Some of the cams on this site are in captivity, but they are interesting to watch nonetheless!
Ospreys
Ospreys are another fascinating bird to observe and these osprey cams do a fantastic job capturing their movements and habitats. I have been able to see ospreys bring a live fish back to their nest and feast! If you don't see anything immediately on these cams, have some patience... it will pay off!
Choosing a Bird Watching Camera
Meet Birdie: a bird cam designed specifically for birds. Birdie is an easy to use, fully remote controlled bird cam that is available for both on-the-go and stationary use. With a standard size, medium, or mini lens, it can be used anywhere to get fantastic pictures of birds. In addition to being great for outdoor birding, it is also great for people with an interest in nature photography. You can easily zoom in and out to focus on specific details or move the bird through its range of movement. This gives you the ability to take high quality, professional quality pictures without having to wait until the bird gets close to the lens.
The Spy System: Is your birdhouse constantly bugging you with noisy neighbor birds telling you they are dinner? The Spy System is a remote controlled model birdhouse that listens for conversations made from nearby birdhouses. Once it identifies a "human sound" it stops feeding for a few minutes and repeats the process every time the sound is heard. No more frustrating waking up to a bird house full of leaves, but no less rewarding when you see those marvelous birds in their natural habitat.
Dovecam Outdoor: Ideal for bird watchers who like to go above and beyond with their bird watching efforts. These cameras are available in two general styles, the stick on style and the clip on style. The Stick on style allows you to adjust the position of the Dovecam camera in any direction you desire while the clip on style doesn't have this adjustment available. As always, both systems are extremely compact and light weight. They are also weatherproof, so you can enjoy them in any season.
Birdfeeders from Birding America are a great place to start when you are looking for bird cams. They carry a large selection of the most popular brands and even carry high end models like the Pocketbird Cams. The best part is, with all the features of a birdcage, the price is only a little more than a large candy bar! You can have many different views with a birdfeeder from Birding America.
Bird Watching by EZ Digital Camera: These cameras have won multiple awards, so you know you're getting top-quality gear. The top quality is evident as soon as you plug it into the wall outlet and watch the video your camera takes. Not only do these cameras allow you to view wild birds, but they also let you record footage using a memory card, which you can later upload to your computer and save to disk. Another great feature of these cameras is that you can also upload pictures to Facebook.
So there you have it, just some of the best bird watching equipment available for bird watchers. There's really no reason why someone who is new to bird watching couldn't use a bird cam, because they are very easy to use and affordable. As long as you are willing to take the time to learn how to use it, the bird cam will be an invaluable tool to help you get close to wild birds and even increase your knowledge of wild bird behavior. It's not everyday that you get to see wild birds up close and personal, so take advantage of it while you can!
